'Parentng with Heart' is a good one, though I can't remember the author - it was a man, for what help that provides.

And I woudl second 'Raising Your Spirited Child' and 'Hold on To Your Kids'

I take a 'read a lot and come up with some amalgom to create your own style' approach, so no one book really catches all of my appraoch. Maybe I should write my own.

hello! i heard about you via emira. congrats on your book!
parenting books i've read recently that i highly recommend are:
easy to love, difficult to discipline (forgot author's name)
unconditional parenting (by alfie kohn, also on dvd)
raising your spirited child,
sleepless in america (both books by mary sheedy kurchina... sp?)
hold on to your kids (by gordon neufeld, has a couse in vancouver, and a dvd)
i wish i had read the first 2 books earlier, but parenting is a life long journey!
